Date only ink stamps are a clean and simple stamping solution. There is no text so the focus is on the date stamped. These stamps cannot be customised. Some of these are the traditional style of stamp with a separate ink pad. So do add an ink pad to your order when ordering a Classic dater stamp. These date stamps can be useful for small areas to apply the mark as the base of the stamp is just the date unlike a self-inking stamp with the base foot area. Also useful when curving around a jar or cup.
For date stamps nz that can be customised there is the date and then an area which we laser engrave the rubber die to mount for your mark. The date cannot be moved. Nor can the date have custom fonts. These are manufactured on mass in huge factories for economies of scale cost saving when the stamp parts are all assembled.
There are a few with the custom area either to the left of the date or above.
Plus there are a couple of double date stamps for those special occasions. Great for from and to dates.
For most date stamps the date is set in the middle of the stamp. No you cannot move it.
There are heaps of sizes. There are different shapes like round, square and rectangular. These models can have a border around the outside. Go crazy and have a good search through all the date stamps here.
If you are looking for a silky smooth operating date stamp we highly recommend the Trodat professional stamps with the stainless steel frame. Yes you pay more for a professional grade of stamp with a steel frame. These are an investment as they are built for high use situations and last for a long time. For use in situations like a bank teller stamp, a dispatch stamp or food manufacturing date stamp these stamp can really handle a rougher environment. Do remember these are precision instruments and abuse is not what they are designed for. Please don’t drop them off the fork hoist and run over them. Yes that has happened many times. They don’t survive this sort of treatment.
Manufacturers who deal with disposable goods often require best before dates for their products. There are often plenty of dater stamps required for this type of company and therefore a bulk order is usually required. For large bulk orders, we do offer special offers. Ink stamps are designed to make your life easier. Ink stamps allow you to get the job done quickly and efficiently. If you work with marking multiple documents then an ink stamp is something you need to consider. “Why write it when you can stamp it” is a very common phrase you’ll hear if you are working with anyone from the ink stamps industry.
DIY dater stamps are the most versatile dater ink stamps. Perfect for businesses who need to customise and change the selected text often. These dater stamps are available from both the Shiny and Trodat brands. These are the best option we have when two rows of changeable text are required. This scenario is regular for food companies which need a best before date AND a batch number. Both lots of text can be changed in a DIY stamp.
When it is important to know when something arrives there is an adjustable time stamp. In the centre is the date as usual. Then on the outside there is an adjustable ring. Dial this to the hour received to give that official time received or sent.
We stock three different brands of dater stamps nz. These are the three highest selling brands in the world. In the order from left to right from the highest number to the third largest selling brands by value.
Trodat stamps are manufacured in Austria.
Colop stamps are manufactured also in Austria.
While Shiny are different to the above and manufactured in Taiwan.
Each brand are high quality stamps. Each brand has unique models for attributes which may suit your project better.
Don’t panic. Self-inking stamps have replaceable ink pads. At any time the ink pad can be taken out and replaced. Or it can be topped up with a few drops of ink if it is still in good condition. At some stage they will need to be replaced. The unique feature of the date stamp is the date in the centre. Many of the models have an ink pad with a red centre piece for the date and a blue surrounding area for the customised part.
Which ink pad is for your stamp?
You can search this website with the model number of the stamp which usually will show you the ink pads for each model of stamp. You can check this is the correct one by taking out your ink pad and looking at the back of it. Molded into the plastic will be the part number. For Trodat they written like 6/57 or 6/4750. Shiny are S300-7. While Colop are E2600. Each model number will be different but that format is used.
Your stamp can have a new image. The date remains the same. If you have more years to go on the date band then keep using this stamp for a new purpose. The rubber die which is customised for you can be replaced at any time. Your stamp may be personalised to a name and that person leaves. DON’T throw the stamp away. Just get a replacement rubber die for that stamp and keep using it until the date runs out. We do recommend replacing the rubber die and the ink pad at the same time. With the new die and the new pad you have in essence a new stamp. For much less cost.
You have two options here to do this.
Search by the stamp model number in the search field at the top of the page. This might be “4750” and all the options for this stamp including ink pads and replacement rubber die and the combo replacement rubber die plus ink pad are listed there. You can see the savings straight away between a new stamp and the replacement parts.
Or if that isn’t your thing then just email us and describe what you need and the stamp model. We can get the process going that way as well for you.
We have instructions here to assist you with installing the replacement rubber die. You do not need to send the stamp to us. This saves you time and freight two ways.
There are two different types of date stamps for this question. Most of them unfortunately are at the end of their useful life. Generally there are 12 years on the band of the stamp. One or more of these years may have already happened by the time the stamp gets to you. This may be due to minimum order numbers coming to New Zealand. Then as demand for each model happens those in stock stamps go out to customers. Also if you buy a new stamp in say January it will have the last year on there definitely.
However there is good news for the Trodat professional date stamp. These start with a 5 in their number. 5440 or 5030. The professional grade stamps have a steel frame. We can disassemble the stamp to remove the date part of the stamp and replace the date bands with a new set. Then reassemble the stamp. As these high quality stamps are expensive you can then get another 12 years, maybe more, of use out of them. It is a very good time to replace the ink pad as well. You do have to go without your stamp for around a week by shipping to us, we do the service, then ship back to you. Email us to enquire about this service.
