Discounted self-inking stamps are here to stay when you order in bulk. Discounted stamp orders are a regular occurrence here at Self-Inking Stamps. Curious about what qualifies as a bulk order? It all starts with just two stamps, and any two!
It gets serious when someone asks, “Can you supply 300 custom made self-inking stamps?” The answer is… Yes, we can! Can we deliver them within a week? Yes, if we can source the stock in time, then absolutely.
Then, another order comes in: “Can you produce 50 large stamps for our car dealership branches?” Although this adds a bit of pressure, our answer is still, “Yes, we can.”
And that’s how it goes around here. Just two orders later, and 350 custom-made stamps are designed, proofs approved, stamp bodies arrive, the rubber dies are laser-cut, and everything is assembled and packed—completed a day ahead of schedule. Perfect! That’s how we like it—exceeding our customers’ expectations.
While we strive to meet these timelines, sometimes stock availability in New Zealand can be a challenge. For the 300-stamp order, two of our usual brands were out of stock, but luckily, a third supplier had what we needed. Large orders often require waiting for stock to arrive from overseas.
Typically devanned in the Hawkes Bay before being shipped to us in Auckland. Depending on the brand, this process can take anywhere from 2 to 5 months. Living in New Zealand is a privilege, but it does mean we are a long way from manufacturers, which can limit availability and delay shipping.
What qualifies as a bulk stamp order?
While we usually don’t offer discounts on traditional custom hand stamps with wooden handles (due to the intensive labour involved), we might consider a bulk order discount for 10 or more of these. Our wooden handles are individually crafted in small quantities by a retired artisan, so larger orders may be negotiable.
The real action is with self-inking stamps.
What is a self-inking stamp?
As the name suggests, self-inking stamps contain ink inside the stamp body. They have a spring-loaded mechanism that automatically re-inks the stamp between impressions. Simply position the stamp where you want to mark, press down, hold briefly, and release—it’s ready for the next stamp.
When at rest, the rubber die (which carries your custom design) sits against the ink pad. Pressing down separates them, flipping the die over to make contact with the surface you’re marking.
We custom-make these stamps to order every weekday, with only a few standard models available off the shelf.

Your bulk order could be as simple as the same design across all models, or you could have a different image on each stamp.
Once we know your requirements, we’ll calculate production costs and apply a discount, ensuring that we stay in business and you enjoy a great deal.
The rubber die and ink pad inside these stamps are also replaceable. If the ink pad runs dry or the impression fades, you can either add a few drops of ink or replace the pad entirely. We supply both options when needed.
If you’re using the stamps for a promotional event, don’t discard them afterwards! We can replace the rubber die for your next campaign. Simply swap out the die and you’re ready to go with a fresh design for your next promotion.

- Reduce landfill waste, as unfortunately, stamp bodies are not recyclable in New Zealand.

- Surface to be stamped
- Size of the stamp image (we can assist with this)
- Delivery deadline
- A high-quality image (vector files like .ai or high-res .jpeg/.png at 300 dpi or higher)
- Desired font for text
- Any size constraints (e.g. a loyalty card, official document, or business card)
