Pharmacy Dispensing Stamp 5440.
This pharmacy stamp or dispensary stamp or Rx stamp is designed for document marking all day long. Many pharmacies use different designs. These chemist/pharmacy stamp designs can be modified and personalised to your dispensary equipment collection. We regularly make Life Pharmacy stamps and Unichem stamps individually designed for each location. Here we have the most commonly requested designs shown in the photos. Most variation is around the check boxes. Also different amounts of text rows and positioning in the layout are requested.

Medsafe inspectors require your stamp to have the details corrected.
The key factor in determining the appropriateness of a pharmacy dispensing stamp is whether it appropriately marks dispensed prescriptions with the pharmacy’s name and address. This information must accurately reflect the premises from which the prescription was dispensed, as specified on the pharmacy’s licence.
This is in accordance with regulation 42(3)(b)(i) and (ii) of the Medicines Regulations 1984 and regulation 31(4) of the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 1977 which state that:
“the following information must be recorded on the prescription:
- the name and address of the proprietor of the business at which the prescription is dispensed; and
- the date on which the prescription is dispensed; and…”
This Rx stamp when correctly named and addressed fills these requirements.
Two rows of text above the date are usual. Three can be achieved however the font size has to be reduced to fit the space.
A row of small font size text can fit above the check boxes. This does limit the check boxes height however.
